Absolutely love our garage door which is super quiet. I would rate a 5 but they left with our brand new key-less garage door entry pad that we had just installed two weeks prior. We've call repeatedly and they have not offered to return the keypad or pay the $40 I paid to buy the keypad (I still have the receipt). I spend $3,000 and they can't send me the $40 because I assume the keypad is gone.

Great install. Great technician. Biggest issue is WiFi for garage door has terrible ratings and is impossible to get to work correctly. Ratings totally show it so I think you should carry a better WiFi capable product and make sure you are carrying best products available.

Am a little disappointed from the get go. I needed quick help to get my door open to get car out after balance spring came loose. I got that help but the tech was diverting request for a quick repair saying it would cost ~500.00 for a repair when I was going to purchase a new system anyway. Said he didn't have a spring in his truck. He was focusing on selling a new package. I intended to purchase a new door and power unit anyway after an estimate. He left after writing a purchase contract without reconnecting my spring leaving me a 76 yo, not smart to be on a ladder, to do the job myself. Took me 20 min. to connect the spring and all is working now. My old door is heavy and difficult for me to raise and lower manually so I needed the power unit during the interim waiting for new door installation. Nothing was broke the spring just came loose and I would think it be common practice for him to make that minor but essential fix for me prior to departing. Am optimistic that new package will be installed in a timely matter and professionally, We shall see.

We had used Precision in the past, but chose it this time partly because of Angie's list and the 5% discount. We needed a repair on our existing system, but after talking to Blake, our service technician, we decided on changing everything but the garage door. His sales pitch included telling us that we should change everything for our 'peace of mind' since the entire system (whereas he listed the motor, springs, cables, drums, sensors, drive, rollers, and even the service calls. The only things he did not list were the remotes and keypad) as having a life-time warranty. We were promised anything short of driving the car through the door would be covered free of charge (his words). He went over that with both me and my husband separately, telling each of us the same thing. While he was pleasant, professional, and did a good job, we found out once we received the emailed documents that what he told us was not true. Only the motor is covered by a life-time warranty. When I asked about the 5% Angie list discount, Blake explained he couldn't 'stack' discounts since we were getting a break on the cost with a package deal for the entire system. So, we did not get our discount. There was also an issue with clean up, which after I complained, Blake did call and apologize.

Contacted Precision after installing a New opener (Liftmaster Side mount) and noticed there was a twisting motion when in operation. Opener mounts directly to torsion bar. Asked tech to determine what was causing this twisting motion in the opener during operation. After 2.5hrs of work and replacing both end bearings / hammering on one side of the tracks / relocating some rollers (removal of the garage door opener from torsion bar) the door did more jumping and popping than before. Also, opener still was making excessive twisting motion. Tech told me the problem was that the center bearing was not properly adjusted and was causing incorrect motion of the torsion bar during operation. Explained that he did not have the time to make these adjustments due to another call. Should have pointed this out at the beginning when I asked what was causing the twisting problem. Gave me an estimate to replace torsion bar and springs and left. Also notice that when tech was re-installing the Liftmaster opener it was not properly done. There are torque requirements for this opener and none were applied. I had to re-install the opener myself after tech left to avoid any damage. Another tech came out two days later to evaluate my door performance and said it was fine but he did admit to the jumping while the door was being opened and the twisting was being cause by a torsion bar that had issues. He gave me an estimate to replace the entire door and said this would address all issues. I do not believe that my concerns were properly addressed at the beginning and replacing the two end bearing solved nothing. However, let me be clear that both techs were very friendly and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. Will probably contact some other company in the future.

While I was very satisfied with the service and the technician I was disappointed that there was no mention of a discount until I received this email within the hour to rate my satisfaction after the job was completed. When I selected the "chat"option to ask about the discount I was told that the customer is supposed to "ask for this at the time of service" but that they would have a manager call me back to see if they could make an adjustment for me. How was I supposed to have asked for a discount at the time of service when I knew nothing about a discount?? And needless to say - no one ever called me back. So for that reason I am only giving them 3 stars. Honesty, trustworthiness and good customer service follow-up are very important to me. I purchased springs, rollers and cable.
