Both of the technicians that did our service work today were great. Very polite and efficient. We have had you do work for us since the end of 2005 on our garage door. We have Limited Lifetime Warranty coverage and we were wondering why today was the first time we were ever charged a service call fee. We assumed everything was always covered like it has been in the past. Our previous invoice #740556 dated June 7, 2013 we had the springs adjusted on the 16x7 foot door plus we had the technician install new springs etc on the 9x7 foot when he made the conversion and there was no service charge. Precision Door replaced both springs and rollers on our 15+ year old garage door in 2007. In April, 2014, one of the springs broke. When I called Precision Door about the warranty, I was told that the warranty had run out the year before. The office manager, Patti, indicated that even though the springs were out of warranty, they would still offer a discount for the repair, seeing as the warranty had just run out. The technician that came to do the repair, Blake, was very professional and inspected the door and hardware. He mentioned that the hardware appeared to be in good working order and suggested that all of the hardware he observed should last another five to seven years. He went on to explain that although the springs installed in 2007 were appropriate for the number of panels for our door, he believed they might have been undersized based on the heavy duty weight of the door. He installed larger springs and adjusted our garage door opener to optimize performance. Blake did a great job and did not try to sell us on anything we did not need, a characteristic that is rare amongst repair personnel that are far more knowledgeable about their trade than consumers. We paid the bill provided to us by Blake as he was professional and pleasant to work with. After the repair, I called the office to voice my displeasure with Precision Door for installing the incorrect springs back in 2007. I explained to the young lady that answered the phone that, I believed if the repair had been completed with the appropriately sized springs in 2007, based on what Blake explained to us, we might not have needed new springs in 2014. I went on to say that, if this was a common practice of Precision Door, installing inappropriate equipment to ensure return business, then I felt they were dishonest and took advantage of customers that did not know any better. I was surprised to receive a phone call later that same evening, around 7:30, well after closing time for the company, from the office manager Patti. She indicated that my message had reached her office, she had spoken to the technician and the owner, and they felt it was the right thing to do to refund the cost of the repair that had just been performed. I was dumbfounded that a company, that I thought was shrewdly taking advantage of unknowledgeable customers, was so customer service oriented that they felt they had some blame due to the inappropriate repair in 2007 and took full financial responsibility for making the situation right. I offered to pay the difference in the cost of the inappropriate springs installed in 2007 and the appropriate springs installed in 2014, and Patti would have none of it. She stated that this was their error in 2007, and they owned it. From my perspective, I would recommend Precision Door to anyone that needs garage door service and will contact them in the future if we ever need service. By exceeding my customer service expectations, they have certainly made a customer for life because I know they are fair and stand behind their work, good or bad, and they will do what is fair to make the situation right. The service was great. They stated that they would arrive at 4PM and my Tech Dylan called an indicated he would arrive about 10 minutes early. Dylan inspected my system told me what was wrong and gave me three choices for my fix. Dylan completed the job in about an hour and a half. Dylan was great he kept me informed and did an outstanding job. I will call Precision again if needed and will recommend them anytime.

Blake was extremely nice and informative and thorough with his inspection and explanation of what was going on with my old garage door and what needed to be repaired and/or replaced. Because of how late the appt began, I was very surprised that he planned to stay and do all of the work in the same evening, which kept him busy until 11pm. We programmed the exterior key pad before he left and he programmed the homelink button in my car. It was quite a lot more than I really wanted to spend to replace the motor and parts, but I'm very happy to have a lifetime warranty, a respectable local company, and a really nice, professional guy available if I need anything. I'm very pleased.

Ifound you by google and the add you were rated at 4.8 and very few garage door co. have a good rating. I have heard all the news reports of how garage door co. try to pressure you into buying something you don't need. the service tech was good and quick. He explained what he was doing and since i have many years of machine shop expierence i knew if he was trying to sell me something i did not neeed. I liked the fact thet you powder coat the springs and that is what he replaced. I keep my garage door lubed with garage door spray and do the upkeep on it. the tech did a good job. Thanks
