This experience with Precision Door, involving the purchase of a new garage door, was excellent. First of all, an appointment was scheduled the day after I called. Nick came out and took time answering all my many questions and adding more information, about the possibilities that were available, the guarantees, the standards for each choice and how they related to the codes for a home like mine. There was no pressure, and his knowledge of the products was detailed, immediate, and clear. He gave me a total price, promised there would be no extra charges showing up, and told me it would be 3 weeks until my purchase could be installed. I was elated and felt very good about the upcoming new door. Meanwhile, a few days later, we all began to hear about Hurricane Irma, how incredibly strong she was, and the chances that she might come right over our city. I called Precision Door again, on Labor Day, and a "real person" answered immediately, understood my trepidation about my 24 year old door and how well it might weather the hurricane. She set up an appointment, again, for the next day, and another very nice young man showed up, to install 3 long metal struts the width of the garage door. He explained how they would lend additional strength to the door, and gave me a set price for this additional, emergency repair. I was really impressed, because at that time, it was not possible to buy anything, anywhere, and yet this tech was answering my questions, and showing me how strudy the struts made the old garage door. The hurricane hit right over our city, and although I had an arborist evaluate and have all my trees trimmed, my property was covered in tree limbs and in one case, 19 feet of a 34 foot tall tree that crashed. But despite all the crashing, and all the oak tree limbs that fell in and on and around my garage, that old garage door with the new struts held firm. It was perfect. About a week after that, the young lady at Precision Door called to schedule an installation of the new door. The company took care of the city permits for me, and Jason and Jaymes showed up, installed the door, put a new beam in because the old one had cracked, and indeed, the entire cost was exactly what Nick had said it would be. They explained and demonstrated everything, helped me find a great place for an outside emergency pad to operate the door and installed it, demonstrated the safety locking devices to make the garage door even more secure any time I felt that was necessary, and were very patient and pleasant. Let me add right here that the garage door goes up so quietly that one of my neighbors was really impressed. In fact, she said that when the time comes to replace her old door (apparently soon) she will be calling Precision Door. And let me also say this about all four of the employees who came out to the house: all of them were exactly on time, all of them called about 15 minutes ahead of their arrival so I could expect them, all of them performed the precise task I expected, all of them were very willing to explain everything, and all of them left the area where they worked in an absolutely pristine condition. I am so very impressed. This is a national company, and is A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau. And I can see why. It has been a great experience.

Although, I have always been please with your company and I do recommend you whenever possible, I was disappointed that advice was not offered over the phone as to what we might try instead of having a service tech come out. We had been without power for 8 days due to the hurricane. Tech here for less than 5 minutes during which time the bill was paid a discounted (hurricane) rate of $50.00 to engage a latch...sad! so I was disappointed but will still recommend your company. No it was because of previous service. The tech was name Eric. Please excuse the fact that I can't remember his last name. He arrived at my house a little early and immediately started to investigate the problem. Today was no different. He was very personable and professional. Though he was focused and clearly knew the job, he took the time to answer the questions I had and walked me through each segment of the process. We hit it off right away. I am a retired Orange County Deputy Sheriff and a good judge of people. Eric is an excellent person dedicated and committed to the job.

A service tech was able to come the same day I called. The scheduler I spoke with was very courteous & quickly made an appointment for me. The tech called first to let me know he was coming. When he came he immediately fixed the problem explaining what he had done. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that due to the hurricane Bill decided in all fairness to discount the repair. Yesterday, 9/19/2017 I had the please of Meeting a Sales REP named Joy. she was like a breathe of fresh air, who provided me with a quote for a complete replacement of my garage door after Hurricane Irma. She was absolutely outstanding! she answered all my questions and provided me with a very competitive quote. This company Uses AMERICAN MADE MATERIALS. Time of arrival was perfect. The person was knowledgable . But I think it is manufacture's fault - The cord that helps to operate the door manually is broken. And there is no way to fix that except buying a new set of door!! Something need be done

I wish to thank tech Scott and his supervisor, tech Jamez and tech Robert. They replaced my broken springs and got our car out the garage. The men worked without power.Hurricane Irma left us with broken garage door springs and no power. The replacement springs are far better than stock springs and I purchased a complete hardware overhaul with a lifetime warranty. I never have to worry about repairs again. I will always call Precision garage door repair service.
