Called several door companies looking for someone to fix my garage door, I backed into it and it was in really bad shape. I thought it wasn't repairable. Ronald came to the house and got it working again, it's even more quiet than before the accident. Needs to be replaced but it was a miracle that it would ever move again. He did a great job, will call for replacement.

Our garage door spring broke this past Monday morning, and while I was away from home, my wife called Precision Garage Door Service of Sanford to come out and make the repair. My wife was home during the service and met with the technician. The repair was completed and the total bill came to $934 with a one year warranty. Later that afternoon, after I returned home, I found the receipt from the previous time we had both garage door springs replaced in April 2021 by another local company. That charge for the same repair was $298 and it came with a three year warranty. I understand that prices have increased significantly over the last five years due to inflation, and I recognize that these are two different companies. Even taking that into account, I was surprised to see a 213% increase in cost along with a shorter warranty period. My wife called the following day to express our concerns and ask for an explanation regarding the pricing. Unfortunately, she came away from the conversation feeling that her concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I can't say with certainty why the price was so much higher, but I do wonder whether the outcome might have been different had I been home during the service instead of my wife. That may not have been a factor at all, but it's a question that crossed my mind given the circumstances. I'm not posting this review out of anger or to dispute the work that was performed. I'm sharing it so that other homeowners can make an informed decision. My recommendation is to ask for a detailed breakdown of costs, confirm pricing before work begins, and consider obtaining a second opinion whenever possible.

Exceptional company that truly stands behind their work. The first technician they sent was well-meaning and hardworking but made several mistakes — bent the track removing rollers, damaged the torsion shaft by hammering it, couldn't dial in the limits after 20-30 minutes, and left some marks on the drywall. The customer (me) actually had to step in and set the limits correctly using the instruction manual. To their credit, when I called to report the issues, Precision responded immediately and sent out Kemar the very next day. Kemar is exactly what the name 'Precision' implies — he replaced the entire damaged torsion shaft, got the door opening and closing perfectly, cleaned up the drywall, and even wiped the fingerprints off the front door. That's attention to detail. On pricing — it's on the higher end. The spring is a quality powder-coated product appropriate for Florida's climate and comes with a 5-year parts and labor warranty which has real value. However, 10 rollers were replaced as an upsell I didn't specifically request, at $40 each, which feels excessive for a single car door. They did refund $200 for the initial trouble. Bottom line: the company made it right quickly and without pushback, the final result is excellent, and the warranty gives peace of mind. I would hire them again — just ask for Kemar
