This experience with Precision Door, involving the purchase of a new garage door, was excellent. First of all, an appointment was scheduled the day after I called. Nick came out and took time answering all my many questions and adding more information, about the possibilities that were available, the guarantees, the standards for each choice and how they related to the codes for a home like mine. There was no pressure, and his knowledge of the products was detailed, immediate, and clear. He gave me a total price, promised there would be no extra charges showing up, and told me it would be 3 weeks until my purchase could be installed. I was elated and felt very good about the upcoming new door. Meanwhile, a few days later, we all began to hear about Hurricane Irma, how incredibly strong she was, and the chances that she might come right over our city. I called Precision Door again, on Labor Day, and a "real person" answered immediately, understood my trepidation about my 24 year old door and how well it might weather the hurricane. She set up an appointment, again, for the next day, and another very nice young man showed up, to install 3 long metal struts the width of the garage door. He explained how they would lend additional strength to the door, and gave me a set price for this additional, emergency repair. I was really impressed, because at that time, it was not possible to buy anything, anywhere, and yet this tech was answering my questions, and showing me how strudy the struts made the old garage door. The hurricane hit right over our city, and although I had an arborist evaluate and have all my trees trimmed, my property was covered in tree limbs and in one case, 19 feet of a 34 foot tall tree that crashed. But despite all the crashing, and all the oak tree limbs that fell in and on and around my garage, that old garage door with the new struts held firm. It was perfect. About a week after that, the young lady at Precision Door called to schedule an installation of the new door. The company took care of the city permits for me, and Jason and Jaymes showed up, installed the door, put a new beam in because the old one had cracked, and indeed, the entire cost was exactly what Nick had said it would be. They explained and demonstrated everything, helped me find a great place for an outside emergency pad to operate the door and installed it, demonstrated the safety locking devices to make the garage door even more secure any time I felt that was necessary, and were very patient and pleasant. Let me add right here that the garage door goes up so quietly that one of my neighbors was really impressed. In fact, she said that when the time comes to replace her old door (apparently soon) she will be calling Precision Door. And let me also say this about all four of the employees who came out to the house: all of them were exactly on time, all of them called about 15 minutes ahead of their arrival so I could expect them, all of them performed the precise task I expected, all of them were very willing to explain everything, and all of them left the area where they worked in an absolutely pristine condition. I am so very impressed. This is a national company, and is A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau. And I can see why. It has been a great experience.

Although, I have always been please with your company and I do recommend you whenever possible, I was disappointed that advice was not offered over the phone as to what we might try instead of having a service tech come out. We had been without power for 8 days due to the hurricane. Tech here for less than 5 minutes during which time the bill was paid a discounted (hurricane) rate of $50.00 to engage a latch...sad! so I was disappointed but will still recommend your company. No it was because of previous service. The tech was name Eric. Please excuse the fact that I can't remember his last name. He arrived at my house a little early and immediately started to investigate the problem. Today was no different. He was very personable and professional. Though he was focused and clearly knew the job, he took the time to answer the questions I had and walked me through each segment of the process. We hit it off right away. I am a retired Orange County Deputy Sheriff and a good judge of people. Eric is an excellent person dedicated and committed to the job.

Yesterday, 9/19/2017 I had the please of Meeting a Sales REP named Joy. she was like a breathe of fresh air, who provided me with a quote for a complete replacement of my garage door after Hurricane Irma. She was absolutely outstanding! she answered all my questions and provided me with a very competitive quote. This company Uses AMERICAN MADE MATERIALS. I know that's not too popular these days but they completely understand about Keeping the money at Home. as far as I'm concerned Second place is still up for grabs! AJS

Jacob was a Totally Professional young man to work with and to have trouble shoot our old Garage Door Opener, that I decided needed to be replaced, he defined & explained new garage door opener options in detail, expertly installed and showed us show how to operate the new unit. I gave Precision Door a '5' because of the quick and courteous response to my emergency call. There was nothing wrong with the equipment. The approaching hurricane prompted me to see if I could manually operate the garage door. It didn't go well. I accidentally disconnected a spring. Next time I will read directions before doing this again! The tech was very understanding. He reviewed all aspects of how to test the door. All of this was reviewed with me at original set up. I do have memory issues and appreciate all the extra time the tech took to make sure I understood all parts/operation of the door.

Before I knew a cat 4 storm was potentially headed our way, I asked Precision Door Services to come out and look at the 24 year old garage door in place on my property. Nick came at 8 a.m. the next morning, after calling to give me a 15 minute heads up. He spent a considerable amount of time examining the door and its hardware and supports, asking about its history and my usage, determining what my main concerns were, and explaining not only the process but offering two different ways of putting a new door in place. He did not pressure me or make any attempt to sell me the higher priced option. He offered, if I wanted a lesser solution than a new door, to fix part of the problem right then. He did not hurry me about making a decision. I felt very comfortable, and what was even more meaningful to me, he treated me with respect. The choice I made, for an insulated double garage door, will take 3 weeks to arrive, and will be a 3-5 hour process. It is great to have that information available. A few days later, the media began showing the likelihood of Irma coming right up the middle or possibly the east coast, of Florida. I called, on a holiday, and asked if someone could add some struts to brace the door I have, since its age precludes it being up to any code. Next morning, with a half hour advance call to clarify what I wanted done to the old door, Robert came and completed it quickly. He demonstrated quite a bit of knowledge and ability, too. I think both prices are very fair, and I am very impressed by the caliber of the employees I have met.

The timing was immediate .. from the initial phone call , they answered. The same day schedule time. Installer called to say he could be there ahead of time .. assessed the rails and chain needed replacement. Even greased the hinges for free to cut noise .. never knew I should do that yearly . Out the door in about hour .. they are professional

I actually had two Technicians call me. One called because he had completed his appointment early and was in the area (thank you Nick for your willingness to come earlier). I missed that call. Later, Mr. Scott left a message stating he was on his way. He arrived promptly. Fixed what I needed, and suggested (not in a pushy way) to get new springs so that the pressure would not be on the motor. Great service and friendly!

I have used Precision for my home and now my rental property. Scott was the tech this time and was prompt, courteous and gave me the best options based on needs for the rental property. Tom came out to replace both my remote and wireless keypad. He also preformed an overall inspection of my door. He was able to point out an issue that needed attention but I had no idea about. He also pointed out several things that were different about my door but didn't effect the operation of the door. He was very knowledgeable. I was very happy with the service he preformed. Next time I have a grade door issue there is no doubt that I will be calling Precision.
